T. WARFEL TO ADDRESS USABILITY DAY IN PRINCETON

PRINCETON, NJ - October 9. (UsabilityNJ)

Messagefirst (Philidelphia) founding partner Todd Warfel is a featured speaker at this year’s World Usability Day on November 14 at Sarnoff Corporation Auditorium in Princeton. Warfel is an expert in the design and usability of innovative products. This year he highlights techniques used to improve customer experiences in the financial services industry.

New Jersey marks the Second Annual World Usability Day with the theme “New Jersey Innovations Make Life Easy.” Warfel and colleagues have worked on over a dozen industry-first products for companies such as. Bank of America, Bankrate, Dun & Bradstreet, Irwin Mortgage, Sallie Mae, and Schaeffer's Investment Research. Messagefirst works with companies and universities in New Jersey and elsewhere.

“Messagefirst believes that great design starts with a clear message and ends with measurable improvements for clients,” said Warfel in a recent interview. Noted Warfel, “technologies are changing rapidly, but human needs are not. To create effective innovations, we use techniques and tools from several disciplines. It is not enough to be expert in only one area.”

Warfel’s multi-disciplinary approach compliments the audience for New Jersey Usability Day of professionals, students, and faculty in areas of business entrepreneurship, communications, marketing, design, human factors, psychology, engineering, and computer science.

New Jersey Usability Day is co-sponsored by UsabilityNJ, a local chapter of the Usability Professionals' Association, and by the joint Princeton New Jersey chapters of ACM and IEEE-Computer Society. For more information, visit www.usabilitynj.org and www.worldusabilityday.org .
