<li>Participate in concept development, design ideation, and detailed specification of visual designs for user interfaces of the future and existing innovations, prototypes, demos and product.</li>
<li>Successfully communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user centered design process.</li>
<li>Produce design specifications, storyboards, scenarios, design prototypes. Create visual designs and user Interface design that address business, brand, market, and user requirements, including design and production of screen layouts, color palettes, typography, and interface elements.</li>
<li>Work with product managers and developers to deliver the final product.</li>
<li>Create designs and images for PowerPoint presentations, marketing and sales collateral, print, and other miscellaneous projects.</li>

<p><strong>Knowledge &amp; Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years (post education) related UX design experience in product or agency.</li>
<li>BA/BS in design or related field, with significant industry experience. MA/MS in interface, graphic, information design a plus but not required.</li>
<li>An in-depth understanding of HTML, and the capabilities of web browsers is essential.</li>
<li>Understanding of visual design capabilities, including composition, layout information hierarchy, typography and color.</li>
<li>Expert level proficiency with common design tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, Blend, After Effects, Flash 3-D modeling, etc)</li>
<li>Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences</li>
<li>Experience in Agile product development preferable<br />

The incumbent for our current need will employ high fidelity simulations to design, conduct and manage human performance studies and supply usability designs and recommendations that will help evolve the next generation of air transportation systems for the national airspace.</p>
<p><strong>General Job Tasks:</strong></p>

<li>Conducting a literature reviews</li>
<li>Develop detailed test plans</li>
<li>Analyses of research questions, develop research studies, analytic methods, study goals, and objectives</li>
<li>Create scenarios and concepts for use in research studies</li>
<li>Develop and refine methods, techniques and procedures used for the airspace simulation studies</li>
<li>Create and maintaining a schedule for the research deliverables</li>
<li>Perform data collection, analysis, writing reports of research results and the presentation of findings</li>
<li>Participate in the planning and execution of test activities</li>
<li>Work with the end-users to define operational impacts, and provide human factors and usability design recommendations for issue resolution</li>
<li>Review vendor products and designs and provide usability recommendations based on human factors standards, guidelines and best practices.</li>
