JOB: UX/Visual Designer (Princeton NJ)

We’re Connected Sports and we build interactive games and applications for live sporting events. Our product line is aimed at multi-platform devices including mobile, web, tablet, and television. As a member of the design team you will be contributing to everything from product concepts to interface design to game play mechanics.

We expect our designers to take ownership of their projects and be able to contribute to the larger conceptual discussions within the team. We work collaboratively and iteratively in a friendly but fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, in-house position.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • concept and design of product interface, game play / game flow mechanics, and overall user experience
  • create wireframes and/or visual prototypes
  • execution of design and game concepts polished to the pixel

Specific Skills

Requirements:

  • we are looking for passionate designers who can push themselves to grow and learn with us
  • knowledge of sports is NOT required, but a willingness to learn about them is.
  • excellent analytical and problem solving skills that can help generate insight into the product / user experience
  • ability to work in a team-centric environment: doesn’t take (or give) design feedback personally, can thrive in an environment where opinions and perspectives are welcome and appreciated
  • sense of humor (just kidding)
  • high level communication skills
  • attention to detailes
  • Adobe Photoshop; Adobe Illustrator

Nice-To-Have’s:

  • gaming experience or the ability to think in the framework of game mechanics
  • ping pong skills (there’s a weekly tournament)
  • 3d software (we have a Maker Bot at the office and it would be cool to make stuff with it)
  • HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript experience
