Sprocket Staffing is searching for an Information Architect for a long-term contract assignment with one of our premier technology consultants in Red Bank, NJ. This project is for the redesign of a large public facing website.
Responsibilities:
Partner with project team to design highly usable applications Propose the best user-centered design techniques to meet user experience goals within defined schedule and budget limitations Research user needs through interviews, surveys, task analysis, comparative analysis, ethnographic research, and other techniques Document user needs through top tasks, personas, scenarios, and other techniques Employ information architecture methods, techniques and best practices to design high-level structure Iteratively design the user experience through sitemaps, workflows, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, usability testing, usability walkthroughs, and other techniques Plan, conduct, and analyze usability testing to ensure high usability Prepare documentation to summarize user-centered design techniques and fully and clearly specify the user experience for business and technical stakeholders Translate customer requests and business requirements into user interface specifications and tangible product changes Represent end-user interests in solution process, articulate the user experience risks and priorities Consult with business, technical, and creative teams to meet usability and other project goals Balance user needs and technology with business strategy, branding, and other requirements Provide subject matter expertise for information architecture and user experience design and apply related standards
Required Skills:
5+ years of Information Architecture and/or User Experience Design experience on large websites Ability to interface with stakeholders and end-users to understand and document user needs business needs, create user interface specifications, and create usability test plans Able to balance business requirements, usability goals, corporate design guidelines, technology limitations, and IT ability to implement Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Sufficient stature and ability to drive acceptance of their work Ability to be hands on, as well as see the `big picture` Experience with Axure .
